In Act Two Scene Three Emcee sings a solo about being in love with a Gorilla that no one else accepts, which I believe is a metaphor for the Nazis turning against the Jews. This allows the audience to remember what was actually going on in Germany during the 1930’s.In this scene Emcee is seen wearing a smart outfit, with a bow tie. He looks his most masculine because he trying to emphasise the complete opposite between him and the female Gorilla.

Sexuality was something that was most definitely something that was being explored during the time in Berlin so a man singing about being in love with a Gorilla wasn't as strange as you would think. The point that is trying to be made is that there needs to be no war between Nazis or Jews neither people who were homosexual and heterosexual. The Gorilla and Emcee establish really different characters but they both want the same thing... For the message of acceptance to be understood.
